When the repack route lets you down

Tap the problem you run into to see why it happens and what to do instead.

  • The repack site is down again
    Why
Repack releases live as posts on one blog, so when it is unreachable, so is every download.
    What to do
Search the game in the library: its page carries the download itself.
  • Stuck on the presents screen
    Why
A repack is compressed, so its installer has to unpack everything on your PC, and that's where it hangs.
    What to do
Take the pre-installed build: the game comes already set up, with no installer to wait on.
  • Lost among release posts
    Why
Each update is a new post, and older games sink under the new ones.
    What to do
Search by name or browse by genre: every game has one page.
  • Not sure it fits my drive
    Why
A size you only learn halfway through a download is a size you learn too late.
    What to do
Read the size on the game page before you press Get.
  • I got the wrong version
    Why
Release titles change with every patch, and the newest one is easy to miss.
    What to do
Check the version line on the game page, next to the screenshots.
